Sell an onchain TLD. Skip the listing.
You want to sell an onchain TLD to the organization that needs it, without an audience. Hush Partners takes the mandate, finds the person who can sign, and carries the file all the way to escrow. Your name never reaches the other side of the table.
Who sells a web3 TLD privately with us
Two kinds of holders, two very different buyer conversations. The method stays the same. The door we knock on changes.
One name, one logical buyer
The string matches an organization. The approach goes to legal, IP or brand protection, never to marketing. It is brief and courteous, and it offers a first right of conversation when that window is real.
A sector word, a shortlist
A generic term that operators, platforms or leagues could run as a namespace and earn from. Several buyers can build a case, so we draw up a shortlist and state its size only when the number is true.
Holding an inbound offer already? Bring it. We can run that single conversation, or test it against the buyers it never reached.
A sale file, from mandate to escrow
A fictional file on .yourbrand, a trademark TLD matching one organization's name. The right column shows what the buyer can see at each stage. Mostly, nothing.
- Mandate
Scope, NDA and a private quote agreed in writing. The holder's identity is sealed inside the file.
Nothing - Valuation
A written range with its reasoning. The holder sets the floor below which nothing is discussed.
Nothing - Buyer map
One logical buyer, the organization whose name it is. Entry point identified as the head of IP.
Nothing - Note and private room
One short note carrying the reference, plus an unlisted room holding the onchain record.
The note, the room, the record of .yourbrand - Terms
Written terms with a real validity date. Nothing is issued under .yourbrand while they are open.
Terms, their validity date, one partner's first name - Escrow and transfer
The buyer funds the escrow. The TLD moves, then the funds release.
The TLD, in its own wallet
What you risk, and what you do not
A quiet sale removes the usual ways a holder loses value. One variable stays outside anyone's control: the buyer decides at its own pace.
- Your wallet history and your identity stay with us. The buyer studies the TLD, never its holder.
- No number is ever published, so no public figure caps the negotiation before it starts.
- Urgency appears only when it is real: a dated offer, an open conversation window, an actual shortlist.
- A clear no ends that approach. Your TLD does not get worn out by repeat outreach.
- The TLD and the funds settle together through escrow. Neither side goes first.
TLD broker for holders, in practice
The mandate is short and written. Open the details that matter to you.
What the mandate covers
Valuation, buyer map, the approach, negotiation and closing, all handled by one named partner. You approve each stage before it starts. You can stop the file at any point, and nothing about it is ever published.
How Hush Partners is paid
Every mandate is quoted privately and in writing before any approach goes out. It is a fixed fee for the service, never a share of the sale price, paid onchain through a shaka.deal payment link. If an advisor introduced you, their share is split from that fee on the same link.
What we ask of you during the sale
No signature and no key: holding shows on the public registry record, and at closing only the holding wallet can put the TLD up for sale on the aftermarket. No subnames issued while terms are open. Any inbound contact forwarded to your partner, so the buyer hears one voice.
How long it takes
There is no fixed calendar. A trademark TLD moves at the speed of a legal department, while a market TLD moves at the speed of a shortlist. Every set of terms carries a validity date, so no file drifts without a reason.
Questions holders ask
Can I sell an onchain TLD without listing it on a marketplace?
Yes. Hush Partners runs the sale by direct, private approach to the buyers who have a reason to own the TLD. Nothing goes on a marketplace, and no price is published at any stage.
Will the buyer ever learn who I am?
Only if you decide so. The buyer sees the onchain record of the TLD and contracts with Hush Partners LLC. Your name and your other holdings stay out of the conversation.
Do I have to sign an exclusive mandate?
No. We impose no exclusivity. If another intermediary or a direct buyer is already involved, tell us and we agree in writing how the files sit side by side.
How is the sale settled?
Through escrow, on the Freename aftermarket or the marketplace you prefer. The buyer funds it, the TLD transfers, the funds release, and we confirm the new holder onchain before the file closes.
