Rare TLDs, run like any other position.
For funds, family offices and private investors who hold, buy or exit onchain TLDs. Once TLDs sit in a digital asset portfolio, they need what every other line in the book needs: a value you can defend, a discreet way in, a staged way out and clean custody.

Invest in onchain TLDs with three disciplines
Documented
A written range with its reasoning, ready for committees, auditors and accountants. Refreshed when the book changes. TLD valuation
Staged
Exits placed one tranche at a time, so a single sale never reprices the rest of the holdings. Sell-side mandates
Unsignaled
Entry through an anonymous approach. The holder learns a buyer exists, never which fund. Buy-side acquisition
A staged exit, tranche by tranche
Comparables for onchain TLDs are thin. Each private sale becomes a data point, so the order you sell in shapes the price of what remains.
The whole book, sorted by category, state and buyer universe.
Names with a single logical buyer and a clean record.
Market TLDs, once a real shortlist of operators exists.
Positions that earn more by waiting, revalued on request.
Custody hygiene
A TLD is a token in a wallet. Treat its handover with the same controls as any other digital asset on your balance sheet.
What gives a TLD lasting value
- Scarcity: each string exists once on the registry
- No renewal fees on Freename TLDs
- A share of fees from names registered under it, per the registry's current terms (see operators)
- Uses that work today, listed on what's live
This is context, not investment advice.
- Hold each TLD in a wallet your entity controls and your custodian can account for
- Holding is read from the public record, wallet by wallet. Nobody at Hush Partners asks for a signature, a key or a seed phrase
- Receiving wallets confirmed in writing by a named person before any transfer
- Settlement through marketplace escrow, funds and TLD together
- A closing file with terms and transaction references for your records
Investment teams ask
Will our auditors accept your valuation?
That is their call. We give a written range with its basis and assumptions spelled out, which is what a reviewer needs to form a view.
Can you acquire TLDs without naming the fund?
Yes. Every approach is made by Hush Partners. Your name enters the file only when you decide, usually at signing.
Is there a market to exit into?
A private one. Buyers are organizations with a reason to hold a specific string, so exits are approached buyer by buyer. Timelines depend on the holder and the buyer.
Do you give investment advice?
No. We value, buy, sell and settle TLDs. Allocation decisions stay with your investment team and advisers.
