Buy-side acquisition

Buy the onchain TLD. Stay out of the frame.

You want to buy an onchain TLD that sits in someone else's wallet. Once its holder learns who is asking, the number moves. Hush Partners makes the approach as the only visible party and walks the TLD to a wallet you control.

A private enquiry about .lantern

Hello,

I represent an organization with a serious interest in acquiring .lantern. My client is and has asked to stay unnamed for now.

If you would consider a sale, your private room holds the record we read, an indicative range and how settlement would run through escrow.

If not, a one-line reply closes the file. No follow-ups.

Who briefs a buyer's agent

Any organization that needs a TLD it does not control, and knows that asking in its own name would cost more.

Launch

A market TLD to build on

A sector word you plan to open to members, merchants or players. Ask openly and the holder reads your launch plan into the price.

Product

A name before it is public

A product, fund or project codename that exists as a TLD. Securing it before the announcement keeps the announcement yours.

Competition

A TLD others may want

When a rival could make the same call, moving first and quietly keeps the shortlist short.

Is the TLD your own trademark? Legal teams usually prefer brand namespace recovery, a path built around counsel.

What the holder sees. What stays sealed.

Acquiring a TLD anonymously only works if the line between the two columns never moves without you.

Visible to the holder

  • A named partner writing from Hush Partners
  • The public onchain record of the TLD
  • An unlisted private room and a reference
  • Terms you approved, with a real validity date

Sealed until you decide

  • Your organization's name and sector
  • Why you want the TLD and what you plan
  • Your ceiling
  • Other names you are pursuing

From brief to your wallet

Four moves, one partner. Days to first contact once the brief is signed. Closing follows the holder's pace.

Brief

Tell us the target

The TLD, why it matters, your ceiling and the wallet that should receive it. Under NDA.

Research

Read the record

Registry entry, holding wallet, transfer history, names issued, any public listing.

Approach

One note, one room

The holder hears from Hush Partners alone, through a channel they can see.

Close

Escrow and delivery

Funds and TLD move together in escrow, straight to your wallet.

The fine print, on request

Three questions buyers ask before they sign a brief.

How do you reach a holder without unmasking anyone?

We work from public registry and onchain records, and contact holders through channels they have made visible. We never investigate the private individual behind a wallet. If no channel exists, we tell you so.

What does the clean-title check cover?

Names already issued under the TLD, its transfer history, any marketplace listing and anything that could follow the asset after closing. You see the findings before any offer goes out.

How is my ceiling protected?

It lives in your brief and nowhere else. The holder sees only the ranges you approve, one at a time, each with a stated validity date.

What you risk

Mostly time

If the holder declines, the file closes and nobody learned who asked. If terms are agreed, the escrow releases funds only against the TLD. Nothing moves halfway.

What we refuse

Pressure of any kind

No invented rival bidders, no deadlines that do not exist, no misstatement of what is for sale or on what terms. Our rules of engagement apply to every file.

Buy-side questions

Can I buy a TLD from its owner without revealing my company?

Yes. The holder deals with Hush Partners and sees the asset's public record and the terms you approve. Your organization is named only if you decide to name it, in writing.

What happens if the holder says no?

The approach ends. We report back and, if you wish, keep the TLD under namespace watch in case circumstances change.

Can one brief cover several TLDs?

Yes. Each TLD gets its own file, approach and private room, so a refusal on one never exposes the others.

How is a buy-side mandate priced?

Every mandate is quoted privately, in writing, before any approach is made.

Tell us what you hold. Quietly.

One named partner reads every request. Holders start with a private valuation. Organizations start with a confidential brief.
